- from the fourth year, English shall progressively be used as a medium of instruction and the language of immediate environment and French and Arabic shall be taught as subjects; and
- specialist teachers shall be provided for particular subjects such as: Mathematics, Basic Science, Basic Technology, Physical and Health Education, Language Arts (in relation to English, Arabic, French, Sign Language and Nigerian Languages), Music, fine Art, Horne Economics and Agriculture.
